La grandeur géographique du pays rend souvent nécessaire des déplacements en avion. Si l'on dispose de plus de temps, on pourra naturellement utiliiser le bus, le train, voire la voiture. D'une manière générale, les prix sont modérés, sauf l'avion.
Avion
Air Astana est la compagnie qu'il faut utiliser, les autres n'étant pas aux normes de sécurité requises.
Bus et minibus
S'il n'est pas cher (environ 500 T les 100 kms), le bus est lent et utilise un réseau de routes souvent vétuste. Il pourra rendre des services pour des petites distances, mais on préferera le train pour des trajets supérieurs à 7 heures. Les minibus et marshroutki sont à privilégier pour des trajets relativement courts : une matinée, par exemple. Plus rapides, ils sont aussi plus chers (1000 T les 100 kms).
Taxi
Le taxi est une forme astucieuse pour non seulement se déplacer dans les villes, mais aussi pour faire des trajets entre les villes. On peut louer un taxi à plusieurs ou pour tout seul. On en trouve facilement.
Train
Voiture et moto
Pour conduire au Kazakhstan, il faut détenir son permis de conduire international. Nous déconseillons cependant de prendre une voiture : l'état des routes est vétuste et la police est sourcilleuse. Louer une voiture est également une formule plus chère (environ 50 euros par jour) que de louer un taxi pour soi seul. Mais les grandes agences de location sont bien représentées au Kazakhstan : pour ceux qui préfèrent vraiment conduire eux mêmes...

The geographical size of the country makes often necessary of displacements in the plane. If one lays out of more than time, one will naturally be able utiliiser the bus, the train, even the car. Generally, the prices are moderated, except the plane.
Kazakhstan has a very good interior overhead grid of which it is necessary to know to profit being given the interior distances.
Air Astana is the company which should be used, others not being with the necessary safety standards.
Bus and minibus
If it is not expensive (approximately 500 T 100 kms), the bus is slow and uses an often decayed network of roads. It will be able to do favours for small distances, but one will prefer the train for ways higher than 7 hours. The minibuses and marshroutki are to be privileged for relatively short ways: one morning, for example. Faster, they are also more expensive (1000 T 100 kms).
Taxi
The taxi is an astute form for not only moving in the cities, but also to make ways between the cities. One can rent a taxi with several or for all alone. One finds some easily.
Train
The railway network is dense in Kazakhstan. The train is the best means of meeting Kazakh. For the important ways, one must hold his ticket in advance, in of “Jeleznodorojnaya Kassa” (Russian) or “Temir Jol Kassasy” (Kazakh). Slower than the road, the train is however much more on. The ticket in platskartny (berths without compartment) costs the same price as the bus, that in kupeïny (2nd class; compartment of 4 berths) double, i.e. 300-400 t/hr of way.
Car and motorcycle
To lead to Kazakhstan, its driving licence should be held international. We however disadvise travelling by a car: the state of the roads is decayed and the police is supercilious. To rent a car is also a more expensive formula (approximately 50 euros per day) to only rent a taxi for oneself.
