Il n’y a pas de problème d’hygiène particulier au Kazakhstan, et aucun vaccin n’est obligatoire pour entrer dans le pays. Il est cependant conseillé d’être à jour pour les vaccins contre la diphtérie, le tétanos, la poliomyélite, la typhoïde et les hépatites A et B. Un vaccin contre la méningite et contre la rage peut être recommandé. Il convient par précaution d'emporter d'Europe tous ces médicaments usuels, même si on trouve de nombreuses pharmacies. Par contre, les installations de santé comme les hopitaux ne sont pas aux normes européennes et les cliniques privées sont très chères...
