Almaty
Située aux pieds du Zailiysky Alatau (monts Tien Shan), Almaty est une ville agréable pour le voyageur et un point de communications vers tout le Kazakhstan, mais surtout vers le sud et les montagnes, où l'on peut pratiquer randonnée et ski.
En 1991, c’est à Alma-Ata que se tint la conférence qui entérina la fin de l’URSS et vit les cinq républiques d’Asie centrale rejoindre la Communauté des États indépendants (CEI). La ville pris alors le nom d’" Almaty ".
Bien qu’Astana soit devenue la capitale en 1997, Almaty reste le centre économique, social et culturel du pays.

Musée national :
Il retrace toute l'histoire du Kazakhstan, depuis l'âge du bronze.
Kob-Tobe:
Colline surmontée par une gigantesque tour de télécommunications de 372 m, elle offre évidemment une vision...panoramique !
Cathédrale Zenkov et le Parc Panfilov :
Le clou d'Almaty, puisque cet édifice tsariste en bois a été conçu sans...clou ! Elle appartient à l'église orthodoxe russe.
Musée des Instruments de musique kazakhs :
Bâtiment en bois là encore, remontant à l'époque des tsars. Nombreux instruments de musique kazakhs, on s'en doute.
Musée des Beaux-Arts du Kazakhstan :
Peut être le plus beau musée du Kazakhstan. Il comprend des oeuvres kazakhes, russes, mais aussi européennes.
Marché vert:
Toute l'Asie centrale sur un marché...
Respublika Alangy :
Pour la vue splendide sur les montagnes enneigées qui ceinturent le sud de la ville.
Mosquée centrale :
Construite en 1999, elle est l’une des plus grandes du pays.
Bains Arasan :
Bains publics construits dans les années 1980 proposant aussi des massages et des flagellations...Une expérience à ne pas rater !
La région d'Almaty
Chaîne du Zailiysky Alatau :
Elle appartient au massif des Tian Shan. Les principales voies d’accès aux contreforts montagneux sont les vallées fluviales de la Malaya Almatinka (importantes stations de ski de Medeu et de Shymbulak), et de la Bolshaya Almatinka, qui conduit à l’Ozero Bolshoe Almatinskoe (lac).

Almaty
Situated at the foot of Zailiysky Alatau, Almaty is a pleasant city for the traveler and a point of communication to all Kazakhstan, but especially to the south and the mountains where you can practice hiking and skiing.
In 1991, in Alma-Ata that the conference was held entérina the end of the Soviet Union and saw the five Central Asian republics to join the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The city then took the name of "Almaty".
Although Astana became the capital in 1997, Almaty remains the economic, social and cultural national center.

Respublika Alangy for the splendid views of the snowy mountains that surround the south of the city.
Central Mosque, built in 1999, it is one of the largest in the country.
Arasan Baths, public baths built in the 1980s, also offering massages and floggings ... An experience not to be missed!
The Almaty region
Chain of Zailiysky Alatau, Tian Shan massif. The main routes of access to the foothills are the river valleys of Malaya Almatinka (major ski resorts Medeu and Shymbulak) and the Bolshaya Almatinka, leading to Bolshoe Ozero Almatinskoe (lake).
